Do just what is needed
to be who you are.
Will Abshier, MA, LPC, LPCC they/them
Howdy! My name is Will. I'm a queer southerner offering individual counseling services to residents of Texas & California via telehealth. I’m passionate about providing affirming mental health support to my community and allied folks.
I’m originally from small-town southeast Texas and relocated to the central Texas region in 2024. Prior to my return I spent 9 years in Southern California pursuing training and education. Living in a variety of different environments has provided me with insight into the challenges we face adapting to different sociopolitical climates and building community. Outside of my clinical practice I enjoy reading (sci-fi, fantasy, nonfiction), yoga, meditation, thrifting, learning Spanish, live music, and an ever-cycling rotation of creative pursuits.
*I am frequently joined by my honorary office manager, Honey, who you can see on my contact page (click top right).
My specialty and training come from 6 years of experience providing mental healthcare to the LGBTQ+ community in both private practice and service at the San Diego LGBT Community Center Behavioral Health Clinic.
